Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the Frankfurt region (provider: Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, 38 Avenue John F. Kennedy, 1855 Luxembourg). When you visit the website, technically necessary data is processed, in particular your IP address, the date and time of access, the page requested, and your browser identification. This data is kept in server logs for a short period and serves solely to operate the website securely and reliably (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Web analytics

We use Plausible Analytics (Plausible Insights OÜ, Västriku tn 2, 50403 Tartu, Estonia) to measure site usage. Plausible works without cookies and stores no personal data: only aggregated usage statistics are collected, IP addresses are not stored, and there is no tracking across websites or devices. Processing takes place on servers in the EU (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Error diagnostics

We use Sentry (Functional Software, Inc., 45 Fremont Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA) to detect and fix technical errors. If an error occurs while operating the website, technical information about the moment of the error is transmitted; this can include your IP address and browser information. The transfer to the USA is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Cookies

This website does not set any cookies that require consent.

Posting a job

When you post a job, we process the data you provide in the form (contact details, billing details, and the content of the posting) to fulfill the contract, including sending transactional emails via Amazon SES (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We retain billing data for the duration of the statutory commercial and tax retention periods.

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data concerning you, as well as the rights to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority; the authority responsible for us is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
